We are delighted to announce that Positive About Inclusion has been awarded the highest level of the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority‘s Shine accreditation programme and we have been assessed as an organisation which is ‘advanced’.
Shine is an initiative launched by the North East Mayor, Kim McGuinness that recognises employers who lead with fairness, opportunity and respect. Designed to be more than just another accreditation – achieving advanced status positions Positive About Inclusion as part of the movement making work better for everyone.
The process is designed to be completed in stages with recognition at every stage and Positive About Inclusion have progressed through the five beams, providing evidence at every stage of our robust process in terms of:
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing
- Community, Net Zero and Social Responsibility
- Employee Voice and Representation
- Opportunity For All
- Fair Work and Fair Pay
By achieving this accreditation we are joining a select group of North East employers who share our passion for the region and into creating environments where people can do their best work.
“We are really proud to have been awarded this accreditation. As a small business, it’s important to us that we have the right infrastructure in place to support us to grow in the right way, and completing the Shine accreditation process has really supported us to do that.”
Lucy Malarkey, Director and Co-Founder
