"Such a timely reminder of bias, it's a subject we need to talk more about!"

Positive About Inclusion continues to develop collaborative working relationships with the different membership organisations for professionals supporting clients with complex brain injuries.

In 2022, we were commissioned by one of these membership organisations BABICM, to deliver a desktop audit of their approach to inclusivity including how the organisation demonstrates their EDI commitment via the website, social media channels and membership magazine. Following this, we designed and delivered a workshop to explore the findings and recommendations from our review for the BABICM Council at their annual Away Day.

Since then, we have continued to work in partnership with BABICM and were delighted to be invited to be keynote speakers at their annual conference. Our presentation explored the fascinating subject of unconscious bias and considered the value of self awareness, particularly important to Case Managers and other brain injury professionals dealing with a wide variety of clients and family members in the most difficult of circumstances. The conference was attended by approx. 570 members and provided a fantastic line up of speakers and exhibitors.

“That was brilliant! Such a timely reminder of bias, it’s a subject we need to talk more about!”
