BABICM (British Association of Brain Injury & Complex Case Management) is the UK’s membership organisation for brain injury and complex case management. The organisation provides members with a range of specialist support, resources, events and professional networking opportunities.
Following a desktop audit of BABICM’s approach to inclusivity, including a review of how the organisation presents itself via their website, social media channels and members magazine, we produced a position statement summarising our findings and recommendations. We subsequently designed and delivered a workshop for the BABICM Council at their annual Away Day.
The session provided an opportunity to refresh the Council’s foundational knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion as well as a presentation of the results from the position statement project. A number of activities were facilitated to support participants to explore our findings and recommendations, and to prioritise the next steps.
“It was a very beneficial workshop and you’ll be pleased to hear that it definitely had the group on the right track throughout our strategy planning!”
