Working in partnership with Tpas, the national tenant engagement experts, Positive About Inclusion deliver a programme of equality, diversity and inclusion training for social housing sector tenants and staff.
About the Client
Tpas have been championing tenant engagement in England since 1988. As a membership organisation for social housing providers and local authorities they deliver a range of consultancy services, training and events to support organisations’ engagement with their tenants and residents.
Challenges and Objectives
Positive About Inclusion were commissioned to design and deliver equality, diversity and inclusion training in response to feedback from their members about a lack of confidence with this agenda. This training needed to be flexible and accessible for mixed groups of people from multiple organisations as well as being able to be tailored to an individual organisation reflecting their vision and values.
Solution
By designing and delivering an engaging series of workshops and using games as a tool to embed learning we were able to ensure full participation. By creating a safe space for open discussion we maximise the learning opportunity gained through the sharing of first hand lived experience.

Impact
Measurements taken on the levels of confidence of participants at the beginning and again at the end of the sessions continue to show significant progression being made by attendees. Tpas continue to receive really positive feedback following every session delivered.
