NTW Solutions commissioned Positive About Inclusion to design and deliver an engaging and informative workshop for their Board, with an outcome focused activity on embedding EDI within the NTW Solutions culture.
About the Client
NTW Solutions Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, providing an operated health care facility to the Trust across its property and back office services. They have over 600 staff, operate across 60+ sites and a turnover of over £33m pa.
Challenges and Objectives
The workshop was required to provide an opportunity for a shared analysis of the organisation’s current position on its EDI journey. An independent facilitator was required to provide challenge and effectively engage with the Board.
Solution
An interactive, high-level facilitated discussion on self-awareness and lived experiences enabled the generation of a number of practical ways in which diversity and inclusion best practice and inclusive leadership can be demonstrated even more clearly by the Board.
Impact
The session gave Board Members an opportunity to share their first-hand lived experience which resulted in them learning more about each other and having a greater appreciation of the diversity of thought and experience they brought to the Board. As a result of the session the Board committed to acquiring an EDI accreditation to measure their progress and success in embedding an inclusive workplace.
“I thoroughly enjoyed this thought provoking session which provided the perfect opportunity for us as a Board to have courageous conversation.”
