"Thank you both so much for the brilliant session. Looking forward to working with you both in the coming year."

RE:GEN Group is a social housing regeneration specialist delivering construction projects across the North East, North West and the Midlands and is a trusted-partner to the social housing sector.

Having experienced a period of significant organisational growth, RE:GEN are committed to embedding a culture of ‘Belonging @ RE:GEN’ throughout the business. With a new People Plan capturing the current positive working culture within the organisation and the standards expected to ensure all colleagues feel a sense of belonging, it was critical that senior leaders had the opportunity to reflect on this objective, and what actions and behaviours were required to support its delivery.

RE:GEN commissioned Positive About Inclusion to deliver this project as a result of our positive reputation and significant experience of successfully working within the social housing sector. Furthermore, our links to the construction sector (through Constructing Excellence North East People Group) provide us with essential sector context to ensure any intervention delivered is relevant.

To provide the Leadership Team with an opportunity to explore the concept of Belonging @ RE:GEN, we designed and delivered an impactful and engaging two hour in-person workshop. This included hands on activities to establish a shared understanding of equity, equality, diversity and inclusion, how these combine to create a sense of belonging and the commercial, regulatory and societal drivers to getting this right. The final activity of the session provided the opportunity for leaders to consider the current organisational position and, more importantly, what actions were required from them moving forward.

As a result of our workshop, leaders now have a mutual understanding and commitment to create a sense of belonging for their people and will support the roll out of further training throughout the business. Furthermore, a set of tangible actions has been established to wraparound the delivery of Belonging @ RE:GEN.

“Thanks Lucy and Karen for a really thought provoking session.”
