Positive About Inclusion was delighted to be commissioned by Bernicia to design and deliver a further e-learning module to support the Neurodiversity and ED&I awareness learning packages previously designed and delivered.
Bernicia commission us to design and deliver a bespoke Disability Inclusion e-learning module using Rise 360 software, compatible with multiple Learning Management Systems.
The module was designed to be completed by all colleagues, to raise awareness about disability and to provide guidance on the small changes and adjustments everyone can take responsibility for to support disabled colleagues and customers.
The e-learning module comprised the following key elements:
-
Part One explored the definition of disability, the types of conditions that are included and the barriers faced by disabled people.
-
Part Two covered appropriate language and terminology to use around disability.
-
Part Three examined the social housing context, the legal requirements and the current regulatory landscape.
-
Part Four provided an introduction to reasonable adjustments and the approach to adopt when considering if an adjustment is reasonable.
-
Part Five utilised a selection of case studies to consider reasonable adjustments in action.
-
Part Six checked colleague’s understanding with a multiple choice quiz.
“Thank you for your work on this, it’s great and we all love it!”
