We were delighted to continue our work with NMUK by supporting their latest apprentice cohort with an all day, in person workshop at their purpose-built SASMI (Skills Academy for Sustainable Manufacturing and Innovation) facility.
As a key part of the wraparound programme provided by Nissan Sunderland to support the work of Sunderland College, Positive About Inclusion designed and delivered a bespoke full day programme of group and reflection activities, supported by a handbook for attendees. Throughout the content, reference was woven in to Ofsted’s British Values i.e. the four core principles that all education providers are expected to actively promote – democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance.
A group of approximately 20 young people were supported through a day of learning, reflection and discussion to explore the attitudes and mindset that would help them to live the Nissan Way values and bring their Belonging @ Nissan DEI commitment to life.
“Always a pleasure to welcome Positive About Inclusion on site. A brilliant session developed and delivered for our new cohort of apprentices. Thank you for a fantastic day!”
Jen Lloyd, Learning & Development Senior Controller, NMUK
