Positive About Inclusion are delighted to be hosting a discussion group on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) at the Northern Housing Festival to be held at the Hilton Gateshead/Newcastle on Tuesday 18th November 2021.

Following a plenary session on equality, diversity and inclusion delegates will be invited to join one of three discussion groups with our session focussing on inclusivity in the workplace. The session is sponsored by belive housing.

Our session will explore the essential elements that we feel create an inclusive housing workplace, it will be interactive and engaging!

“So looking forward the Northern Housing Festival, this brand new event on the CIH calendar, it’s a great opportunity for housing professionals from the North to network and learn together.”

Lucy Malarkey, Director and Co-founder

The event is exclusive for CIH members and free to attend.

“Diversity and inclusion is high on the agenda for the housing sector, just a few weeks ago Inside Housing published its sector leadership diversity results which clearly show that there a lot still to be done!”

Karen Faulkner, Director and Co-founder

As well as a packed programme of events covering housing hot topics ranging from building safety to reaching net-zero, the Northern Housing Festival will also include an exhibition area and numerous opportunities to hear from leading thinkers in the sector.

The event is followed by the annual CIH Northern Awards and we wish all of those shortlisted the very best of luck!

Event Update:

We were delighted to catch up with Bill Fullen, Chief Executive of belive housing (session sponsors) at the event, he attended and enjoyed our ‘Inclusivity in the Workplace’ session and we took the opportunity to take a photo!
