We are delighted to announce that our very own Director and Co-founder, Lucy Malarkey has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Women in Social Housing (WISH).

Taking up the part-time role in January, Lucy will combine her role as the Managing Director of WISH with her consultancy work at Positive About Inclusion, bringing added value to both.

WISH is a networking community offering encouragement and support for women in roles across the social housing sector. Focused on championing positive and beneficial outcomes for all women regardless of role or experience, WISH is a Community Interest Company and offers a network of immense value through a choice of 10 regions, each hosting at least 4 engaging and informative events a year along with a multitude of benefits for members and sponsors alike.

Lucy is replacing Helen Greig who is standing down as head of the organisation after a year in charge.

Lucy said:

“Improving culture in the workplace motivates me every day, and as the Managing Director of WISH’s network, I am looking forward to raising important issues and giving women in our industry every opportunity to flourish. Helen has done a fantastic job at WISH and the organisation is in a strong position. I look forward to continuing this journey. This is a truly exciting time to be taking the lead!”

Housing Digital published an article about the appointment and a more in-depth interview is planned for February. Watch this space….

The appointment was also featured in Inside Housing.
