Our Directors Lucy and Karen were delighted to be invited to the recent CIPD North East ED&I Special Interest Group to share their thoughts and insight on effectively embedding ED&I within an organisation.

The online session was hosted by NTW Solutions Director of Workforce and Engagement and Chair of the CIPD North East ED&I Special Interest Group, Victoria Bullerwell and was fully booked within one day of tickets becoming available!

The event was attended by over 30 HR and L&D professionals from a diverse range of organisations across the North East, and during the session, Lucy and Karen explored:

  • Why creating an inclusive culture matters – the business and individual benefits from a diverse workforce and a sense of belonging
  • How to make an effective business case and bring everyone on board – the numerous elements that can make up the business case and the importance of finding the right hook for your organisation
  • Where to start (and how to maintain momentum) – finding your passionate people and harnessing their energy and enthusiasm to support the agenda
  • What gets measured gets done (using data and setting KPIs) – how to take the right approach to data collection, and the common mistakes we see organisations making…

The session ended with an interactive Q&A with Special Interest Group members taking the opportunity to ask a broad range of questions and raise issues that were live for them and their organisation.

“Thank you Lucy and Karen for a brilliant session!”

Victoria Bullerwell, Chair of CIPD ED&I Special Interest Group
