Positive About Inclusion was commissioned by VIVID Homes to deliver equity, diversity and inclusion training to their resident scrutiny panel (VIVID Impact group), Customer Influence Team and Governance Team colleagues.
VIVID homes is a leading provider of affordable homes and extensive support services with 74,000 customers and 35,000 homes across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex.
We designed and facilitated an engaging and interactive two hour online workshop which was delivered in the early evening to be convenient for and maximise the attendance of involved residents. The session provided an opportunity to reflect on each element of the EDI acronym, and to explore the skills and behaviours that can maximise inclusive resident scrutiny, namely inclusive language, respectful conversations and recognising and mitigating bias and assumptions.
Following the session, attendees were provided with a certificate of attendance and a useful resource sheet to continue the learning and discussion. The session was recorded to enable those not able to attend to watch at their convenience.
“Just a little note with a big thank you for our time together this evening – I really enjoyed the material you covered and your delivery style. Thank you for providing such a safe space in which to learn.”
