We were delighted to be asked to provide a workshop for Plus Dane’s ED&I Champions. The brief was to design and deliver a bespoke, half day workshop, to be delivered in person at Plus Dane’s Liverpool office. The desired outcomes were to inspire participants, to energise their enthusiasm, to raise awareness and increase understanding and to challenge participants to think about their individual and collective roles as effective allies for ED&I across the organisation.
About the Client
Plus Dane is a housing association with a strong social purpose. Plus Dane employ almost 600 people and has more than 13,500 homes across Merseyside and Cheshire. It is an ambitious organisation striving to provide the very best possible services to over 30,000 customers who live in their homes. With a passion for their social purpose, Plus Dane is driven by the positive impact they have on their communities and customers.
Challenges and Objectives
Plus Dane has recently created several groups of ED&I champions and wanted to bring these groups together, to increase their awareness and understanding of the critical role they have and to energise the groups to enthusiastically address the challenges ahead.
Solution
We designed and delivered a fast-paced and engaging workshop. The workshop included a range of activities that provided the opportunity for self-reflection, challenge and open discussion. Each of the activities were supplemented with real examples from our social housing experience.
Impact
The session certainly achieved the outcomes desired with those in attendance enjoying the opportunity to update their understanding and to reflect on their roles and responsibilities. Furthermore, participants left with a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm, a shared sense of priorities to support Plus Dane on their journey ahead.
“Great energy, skilled and knowledgeable with complimentary styles and they brought in a range of relatable housing examples which really helped.”
